A chance to be Creative with clay!

Are you based in the South Devon area, or perhaps you’re visiting Torquay on Holiday? Wanting a fun and creative experience? Then a messy pottery Taster class with artist/potter Christina might be perfect to treat yourself or maybe would make a perfect gift for someone. We will provide clay, tools, firing and guidance. Just come along to a pottery class and what ever you create Christina will fire, glaze and arrange delivery/pick up for you. The Taster Classes are currently aimed at being one-off experiences, this means they would also make perfect gifts for creative loved ones looking to have a go at pottery or something you can do together.

Pottery Tasters are different to Clay Club in that they are more structured classes with a demo at the beginning and help from Christina for the session. Tasters are designed to make something specific like a mug or vase or Christmas decorations. If you would prefer to go to a class and be free to play and make anything you like, I recommend The Clay Club Sessions.

Torquay Pottery Taster Classes – They’re all different!

Each Pottery Taster is different and will suit that time of year. For example, expect hand-building your own Vase Taster class during March specially for Mother’s day; February is for Galentines and couples’s love-themed pottery and of course during the Winter months October, November and December we will be running Make and Paint your own ceramic hanging Christmas ornaments.

The sessions will be ran by Christina, and she will assist you during your Taster to make something with clay. Tasters will have a focus on hand-building and decorating.

Once you have finished your taster; Christina will tidy up and fire & glaze your piece. She will let you know when it’s ready for pick up. All clay and firings are included in the price. Prices are dependent on the Taster and it’s necessary materials and length of class time.

*Tasters MUST be pre-booked on the website or arranged through Christina. The spots are limited so book yours before they run out.
